Discussion on Late Creativity

 

Writers Alannah Hopkin and Sally Phipps discuss late creativity in conversation with Carlo Gebler, with particular reference to the work of Alannah’s late husband, Aidan Higgins, and Sally’s mother, Molly Keane.

Alannah Hopkin has written two novels, A Joke Goes a Long Way in the Country and The Out-haul and her first collection of stories, The Dogs of Inishere was published in 2017.  Sally Phipps’ biography of her mother, Molly Keane: A Life was published last year.  She also compiled with her mother the anthology, Molly Keane’s Ireland.
