Short prose piece by Beckett
‘Up bright and early that day, I was young then, feeling awful, and out, mother hanging out of the window in her nightdress weeping and waving.’
From An Abandoned Work, ‘a mediation for radio’, was first broadcast for radio on BBC Radio 3 in 1957, performed by Patrick Magee. In this brand-new staging for the festival, director Netia Jones presents a site-specific reading of the work.
