perform-read the play (in English); each actor has been cast because they can also
speak Gaeilge. The Irish actors will be joined by two English actors for the roles of
Yolland and Lancey. Prior to the performance, the audience will have a special
opportunity to cross the lake to one of Ireland’s hidden 19 th century ghost villages
(the play was set in 1833), Glentornan, and eves drop on a Seanachí (storyteller), an

a silent prelude in and around the 19 th century Weaver’s Cottage and courtyard after
which you will follow the actors to your seats in the indoor performance space.
